Edinburgh Indie Pop

Edinburgh Indie Pop, The Rain Fell Down

Edinburgh Indie Pop - A Cabinet Of Curiosities This usually sums up good old British weather, but what a song to cheer you up! A really feel good and catchy jangle pop tune. Jesse Garon & The Desperadoes were formed in Scotland and part of the Indie Pop scene of the mid 80's, this was their second single 'The Rain Fell Down'. The song was originally released in March 1987 on the Independent Scottish label 'Narodnik' and also appeared on…

The Eternal Scream

The Eternal Scream

Eternally Screaming 'How I Wish' by UK Post Punk band Eternal Scream, released in 1981. 'Make A Record' was released on Independent label Chiswick Records. They were: They were hopefuls trying to make it successful, but when the single hit Dave Robinson's desk at Stiff Records he was more taken with Kirsty's vocals than the rest of the band and she was snapped up.

All You Ever Say, Salisbury Indie Sounds

The Mayfields, Indie Pop, Independent Record Labels

The Salisbury Indie Scene Indie Rock/Pop/Jangle later-comers The Mayfields with 'All You Ever Say'. I guess coming in at the tail end of the C-86 scene, but none the less they had a great sound. The band were fairly short lived lasting only a couple of years and were from Salisbury. They formed in 1987 and were part of the C-86 Indie Pop Scene, they initially released a two track shared Flexi disc along with other Salisbury band The Badgemen…
