Shame About The Rain
Yeovil Indie Pop
The Chesterf!elds were formed in Yeovil in 1984 and were with Subway Organization Records until about 1987 when Simon Barber from the band set up the 'Household Records' label. By 1989 they had called it a day, but were re-united again in 2016. Have a listen to the track 'Shame About The Rain' at the link. The track is taken from the album 'Kettle' released on Subway Organization Records which was in turn distributed by 'The Cartel' an independent distribution outfit mentioned in some of my previous posts.
The Band
As at the release of the album 'Kettle' in 1987 the band were:
- Simon Barber - Bass
- Dominic Manns - Drums
- Brendan Holden - Guitar/Vocals
- David Goldsworthy - Guitar
Have a listen to another of the tracks 'Ask Johnny Dee' for a slice of jangle pop C-86 style magic.

- Everything A Boy Could Ever Need
- Kiss Me Stupid
- Thumb
